Sir David Attenborough to work on 3D Project
Sir David Attenborough has signed a deal with Sky to direct and produce Europe's first programme specifically for
3D TV. Sir David will be writing and presenting Flying Monsters
3D.
All that is known at the moment is that later in 2010 the programme will be broadcast on
Sky 3D. This channel is available to existing Sky subscribers through their current HD set-top box as long as they have a
3dTV and the glasses!
Sir David said, "You will actually be able to sense the world in a way you never did before. It will be fantastic.
"Having learnt my television skills in the days of black and white, and been involved in the introduction of colour, I'm thrilled to be a part of the first
3D TV projects."
The programme will be focused on flying dinosaurs who were the size of small jet aeroplanes and who lived 200 million years ago.
There will be cutting edge CGI effects (from the company (Zoo)) who worked on the Harry Potter films.
3d needs content to help kick start it. Alongside sport, this will be a real winner as Sir David has the appeal of all ages and kids loves dinosaurs!
