3D TV news

Sharp have announced that they will begin selling 3D-capable LCD TVs in Japan this summer.

They will then launch 3D TVs in China, Europe and the United States by December.

Sharp's new products will use 4-primary-color technology and will be the be the world's first 3D TV using yellow on top of the three conventional primary colors of red, green and blue.  This then enables the TV sets to offer brighter, more vivid images.

Panasonic and Samsung have already released 3d models, while Sony plans to start offering 3D TVs in June.

Sharp have announced that will be making advanced 3D displays for mobile phones this year that do not require special glasses

If you want to watch Sharp's new 3D LCD TVs you will need to wear the special headgear though!

Sharp reckon that 3dTVs will account for up to 10% of its total LCD TV sales this year.

Hopefully the prices will start to be a little more competitive as more 3D manufacturers come to the market.
