Owls in the Cinema - Legend of the Guardians
Legend of the Guardians (The Owls of Ga'Hoole) is a computer-animated film based on the series of children's fantasy books Guardians of Ga'Hoole by Kathryn Lasky. The main voices are provided by Jim Sturgess, Geoffrey Rush, Rachael Taylor, David Wenham, and Emilie de Ravin. Currently the film is scheduled to be released in September 2010 and will be in RealD 3D and IMAX 3D.
This is the first of three installments of the book series: The Capture, The Journey, and The Rescue.
Warner Brothers are also planning to release a game based on the movie for the Wii, Xbox 360, PS3, and DS platforms.
The three books follow the adventures of Soren, a young Barn Owl. Soren lives in a nest with his parents and siblings Kludd and Eglantine. His brother, Kludd, pushes him out of his nest and a patrol snatches him and takes him to the St. Aegolius' Academy for Orphaned Owls. The understand more, either read the book or watch the 3d film!
