Puss in Boots - The Story of an Ogre Killer
The sword fighting cat stars in his own adventure. This film will be a story about the events leading up to the sword fighting cat's first meeting with Shrek and his friends.
Puss in Boots is voiced by Antonio Banderas (in both the English and Spanish versions of the films). He is a fictional cat from the Shrek films. As you would expect, he is based
loosely on the fairy tale character of the same name. He first came to our screens during Shrek 2.
He will appear as the title character in the upcoming spin-off
3D movie, Puss in Boots: The Story
of an Ogre Killer. The film will be released in November 2011. In the film, it is expected that Puss in Boots will have a love interest... A new cat called Kitty!
The Shrek films are designed by DreamWorks Animation and are based on William
Steig's picture book, Shrek! The films so far have been:
Shrek (2001), Shrek 2 (2004), and Shrek the Third (2007). A final film
(
Shrek Forever After) will be released this year and will also be in
3d. There has also been a short
3D movie (Shrek 4-D) which started off as a theme
park ride and this was released in 2003. Finally, there was a spin-off project for Christmas 2007 called Shrek the Halls.
Even though Puss is vertically challenged, he is a very capable fighter (even when outnumbered) against much larger opponents. Puss is skilled with a sword and dances around his enemies who can't keep up with him. One of his defenses is using his cute nature by staring up at his foes with an innocent, wide-eyed, expression, which softens his foes hearts.
